Anne Carty – Executive Director. Anne’s career began serving in the United Methodist Church and then  moved to social work with Mid-Cumberland Community Action Agency and then as manager of Cokesbury Bookstore (United Methodist Publishing House) for 25 years. During her free time she enjoys time with her husband, Terry (retired United Methodist minister) and family (including 3 grandsons) and church and reading and anything outdoors. 

Pat McDonald – Business Manager/Bookkeeper

Pat retired from the IRS after 35 years of service specializing in Bankruptcy collection techniques, quality work concepts and personnel training.  She joined the Ark/ Noah’s Closet in 2011 helping setup Noah’s Closet in its initial phases at its present location.  She currently serves as Business Manager with Quick Book record keeping along with being designated as purchaser of supplies.


Jenny White- Program Manager 

Jenny  worked in computer programming for almost 30 years. Started in Kansas with General Electric and Rubbermaid. Now self-employed as computer programmer creating electronic medical record (EMR) programs for vascular surgeons. Jenny is the ARK's Program Manager, and Noah's Closet Associate


Sinead Lawless-Whitlow- Noah's Closet Manager

Sinead moved to the US from Ireland in 2004. She has worked in sales,

and owned a consignment store in Nashville. She joined the ARK as a

volunteer and now serves as Noah's Closet Manager.


Melanie Smiley –  Manager of The Ark’s Meals on Wheels & TEFAP (TN Emergency Food Assistance Program) & Food Pantry Assistant

Melanie is in charge of The Ark’s Meals on Wheels program that provides 5 meals a week to the  homebound seniors in South Cheatham County. To apply to receive meals or to volunteer, please contact Melanie at 615-879-4364. Or email her at
