The mission of The Ark Community Resource Center is Helping Families Stay Afloat. Founded in 2001, The Ark works to bring together community resources to help our neighbors in need in south Cheatham County.

The Ark began because there were no formal social services available in south Cheatham County for our neighbors in need. Our first home was in a small house on Oak Street in downtown Kingston Springs. In 2011, The Ark moved to our new home at 710 Hwy 70 in Pegram. This gave us a larger food pantry space, and room for our thrift store, Noah’s Closet.

Services we offer include a weekly food pantry on Mondays from noon until 4 pm (except 5thTuesdays), utility assistance, Meals on Wheels for homebound seniors, once a year school supply giveaway in August, Christmas Angel Tree Program, Summer FUEL program for kids, and Noah’s Closet resale shop which provides excellent clothing at very low prices.
